On the 30th of December 2014, KCM Social Welfare Club and KCM Sports Club jointly organized Paralympics, an initiation focused on uniting the differently abled students along with people who are concerned about social causes.
This was the 3rd edition of Paralympics, which saw the joyous participation of students from Khagendra Navajeevan Kendra located at Jorpati,Kathmandu where they were involved in various games like spoon race, wheelchair race,cane race, book race, fire in the mountain, badminton, football, chess and basketball. Throughout the event, the children were seen confident and elated, actively participating in various activities which are otherwise challenging at their front.
Jyotsna Amatya, the president of Social Welfare Club expressed sheer joy in being able to successfully put together this event and see those radiant faces. “Being able to see those smiles on their faces with just a simple effort from our team was priceless. This event has a very special place in our hearts” she shared.
This event concluded with utmost success hearing the children say how much they loved their day out at KCM, how they’d like to come back again for a similar exposure and how dear the organizing team were to them.
