Centre for Research Excellence (CRE)
Center for Research Excellence (CRE) is an autonomous research body at Kathmandu College of Management (KCM). Instituted with the belief that research and teaching should go hand in hand, CRE is dedicated towards deepening knowledge and creating insights. The center has been established with an objective of developing research culture and fact-based approach among young students and professionals along with the aim to create and disseminate new knowledge that matters to people and organization through an active research agenda. The center embarks on a vision “to be a state-of-the-art research center providing research-based solutions to problems faced by organizations and society.”
CRE was initiated with the following objectives:
- To develop a research culture among the members of the college; students and faculties alike.
- To better educate the students about the importance and benefits of research, and build their capacities for conducting research.
- To conduct need based research in partnership with corporate and development sector.
- To conduct academic research, either in collaboration with academic institutes or independently.
Under the guidance of its advisory board members who are experts in different fields, ranging from management, sociology, politics, and development, CRE is run by its Executive Committee members.
