The BBA program at KCM is a four-year, 120 credit-hour bachelor degree program of Kathmandu University. It prepares you to become a competent, skilled, confident and socially responsible professional who can effectively support managerial, entrepreneurial and leadership roles in corporate houses and social organizations in today's competitive environment.
The BBA program provides you with the latest and relevant curriculum of international standards that integrates various disciplines from social sciences, mathematics, management and information technology. The curriculum is designed to provide you with a broad perspective of the world society, business and life. It develops your communication and interpersonal skills. Throughout, the curriculum emphasizes the development of analytical and problem solving abilities. It first familiarizes you with contemporary concepts, tools and techniques of management, and then significantly sharpens your functional expertise in specific management areas like marketing, finance, accounting and information systems.
With the curriculum, you can gain advantage by specializing in any two functional areas of management with proper academic planning. You can also choose from among a number of elective courses to match your personal interest with the market demand.
The BBA internship, equivalent to three credit hours is an integral part of the program. Its objective is to serve as a meaningful practical supplement to classroom instructions. Internship over a period of eight to ten weeks is a valuable form of professional training in real organizational setting. It provides you with the opportunity to know your career interest, gain practical knowledge, experience and develop networking.
