Cisco Networking Academy Program (CNAP)

Launched formally in 1998 in Asia Pacific, with the help of Cisco Systems, Inc., the Cisco Networking Academy Program (CNAP) is an e-learning model that delivers web-based educational content, online assessment, student performance tracking, and instructor training and support, as well as preparation for industry standard certification. It empowers people through e-learning environments that enable them to learn anytime, anywhere, at their own pace, and with more targeted assessments and accountability than traditional classroom settings.With a curriculum developed by education and networking experts, the CNAP is offered by high schools, technical schools, colleges, universities, community based organizations, and other educational programs worldwide.

KCM, as the only Cisco Systems Regional Academy in Nepal, trains both students and instructors for Local Academies associated with it. There are more than 400 students enrolled in the program and 112 students have successfully completed the program. In addition, KCM has already conducted Cisco Networking Academy Instructor Training for 8 instructors of four local academies. The program provides KCM with leading-edge IT curricul.

Cisco Certified Network Associate(CCNA)

Taught at the secondary and post-secondary levels, CCNA is a 280-hour curriculum, and the first step to a Cisco career certification pat. Particular emphasis is given to using decision-making problem-solving techniques in the application of science, mathematics,communication and social studies concepts to solve networking problems. Students learn how to install and configure Cisco switches and routers in multiprotocol networks using local and wide-area networks (LANs and WANs), provide Level 1 troubleshooting service, and improve network performance and security.
