Nancy Agrawal, currently a 3rd year student is attending the Study of United States Institutes (SUSI) 2015 for student leaders in Journalism and New Media .This program is hosted by the Foundation for International Understanding Through Students (FIUTS) which started from June 22 until July 27 bringing together 20 delegates from Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Maldives to University of Washington, Seattle Campus.
SUSI is a short-term academic program for groups of youth leaders, educators, and scholars from around the world. While at Seattle, international participants study journalism and new media, and participate in volunteer and service activities, leadership workshops, and cultural excursions. The Study of the U.S. Institutes promotes a better understanding of the people, institutions, and culture of the United States among foreign students, teachers, and scholars. This program is produced by FIUTS in partnership with the Seattle Globalist, whose staff teaches classes on topics in journalism and new media.
